OCEAP members joined by Respond SAR at local trailer park to practice neighbourhood search skills. A number of members assigned to new roles for the day – Well done by all.
October 16 – Assist Port Hope Police
Members attended Presqu’ile Provincial Park to assist with the Red Run – 1k, 5k, 10k at the request of the Port Hope Police Service.
OCEAP is proud to announce that our Executive Officer, Colin Cackette received the SAR Award of Excellence in Leadership at the National Search and Rescue Conference in Edmonton, Alberta!

Cobourg Community Connections Expo
June 3-4th – OCEAP members were on site to promote our Volunteer Team!
CANADA DAY – July 1st
OCEAP members assisted Port Hope Police with road blocks for the parade. Immediately following the parade, members relocated to the Cobourg Waterfront Festival. OCEAP members covered all three days of the Festival assisting with missing person calls.

OCEAP announced the partnership with RESPOND Search and Rescue. Our organizations will work together to enhance the support we give our communities. Welcome!
April 16 – Float your Fanny down the Gannywas a great day – weather was beautiful and the crowds were out! Our volunteers attended at the request of Port Hope Police providing roving patrols and assisting with traffic around the pickup loading zone. Thanks to all.
April 16 – Two of our members participated in the Cops for Cancerat the Northumberland Mall. Nice cut guys!
April 23 – Night Search and Rescue training. Refresher of core SAR skills and then worked thru the twilight into the dark with no moon. Great effort from our volunteers!
Excellent training day in the Northumberland Forest! The session covered all of the basics; grid search, hasty search and first aid skills. Thanks to all members and trainers.
February 5th – MoU between OCEAP and CPS
Our special thanks to the Cobourg Police Service for their donation of rescue equipment to our Program. We look forward to expanding our support role with the Service in 2016!

OCEAP was at the Northumberland Mall in Cobourg on Friday and Saturday between 10am and 4pm!
We were recruiting and had a lot of people drop by and say hi! We are still recruiting, so e-mail us today!
Dec 5 – Our members were out on December 5th supporting the Port Hope Police Service with Cram a Cruiser. This was an awesome event which greatly benefits the community. Thanks to everyone who came out and to all those who made donations!
